No camera running
Start the camera to score automatically, or score by hand on the keypad below.
Two or three cameras are far more accurate than one: each sees the dart from its own side and DartVision crosses their views. Place camera 2 about 90° around the board from camera 1 (as seen from the bull), at a similar distance. Camera lists fill in once the first camera is on.
Lower sensitivity catches thinner darts but reacts more to lighting flicker. Point height corrects for the camera seeing the barrel rather than the point; it learns by itself each time you use Fix last and click where the dart really is.
The caller announces each visit's total, what a player requires on a finish, busts and game shot. The ★ DartVision caller is a recorded voice and sounds the most human; voices marked ★ natural are the next best.
No natural voices in this browser. Open DartVision in Microsoft Edge for Microsoft's natural voices, such as Ryan (UK), or in Chrome for Google's.
- Fix the webcam in front of the board, a little to one side or above. It must not move after calibrating.
- Light the board evenly with no glare. Turn off auto-exposure and auto-focus if your camera software allows.
- Calibrate finds the board by itself from its green segments and numbers. Remove the darts first and light the board evenly. If the grid looks wrong, use Rotate or Do it by hand.
- By hand: click the outer edge of the double ring, on the wire at 20|1 (top), 6|10 (right), 3|19 (bottom) and 11|14 (left). The 20 must be at the top.
- The blue grid should then sit on the wires. If it does not, calibrate again.
- After three darts play moves to the next player by itself. Pull your darts and step back; scoring restarts when the board is clear. If it does not, press Board clear (Space).
- With two or three cameras, put them roughly 90° (two) or 120° (three) apart around the board. Never directly opposite each other. Switch between them with the Cam buttons on the video and calibrate each one.
- Press Fit board on the video (or + and −) to zoom in on the board. Zooming gives detection more detail and keeps your calibration.
- Darts read as Miss? Check that the yellow line drawn on a detected dart runs along the whole dart, and lower the sensitivity if it only covers the flight.
- Misread? Press Fix last (F), then click where the dart really landed or tap it on the keypad.
